Origine

Origine is a reflection on the deep roots that connect us to the very beginning of the human journey: the ancestors, the ancient civilizations, the first traces and thoughts of human beings that persist until today through the great memory of humanity. Origin is also the essence of each individual’s journey that takes the form of a tribute to the different facets that make up their personal and cultural history. It is therefore a double individual and collective trajectory that influences each other.

In a naive gesture, like an archaeologist of my own memory, I create characters. I propose my own archetypes in these pictorial works that suggest the first drawings of children, the primitive art and the first writings. The work is linked with bas-reliefs in various archaic forms reminiscent of amulets, mythical universes of different cultures and ages. In doing so, I do not discriminate between personal memory and that of nations, their process is intimately connected.
